Breastfeeding education and support

Despite having spent ten years breastfeeding four babies, nursing my fifth very quickly descended into agony and I encountered breastfeeding issues that were entirely new territory to me. I reached out for help and Erum coached me through the basics with patience, compassion and a wealth of knowledge. She helped me regain my confidence (and comfort!) and kept her doors open for extra support; thank you Erum, for inviting me into Haleemah's House.

As a first time mum, Erum's help and advice on breastfeeding was invaluable. From feeding positions to wound healing, her knowledge was comprehensive, accurate and exactly what I needed to hear to overcome the challenges of breastfeeding for the first time. Not to mention, her compassion and support were unrivaled at such a vulnerable time, especially after certain people made me feel like I was making the wrong choices for me and my baby. I can't recommend her enough!

Despite the challenge of Ilyas being tongue-tied, Erum was incredibly supportive in helping me try to breastfeed. She was always patient, offered practical advice, and was there with encouragement when I needed it. Even though we ended up bottle-feeding Ilyas, it definitely wasn't due to a lack of support and guidance from Erum. Her understanding of the difficulties with tongue ties and breastfeeding made the whole experience much more manageable and less stressful. Thanks to her, what could have been a tough journey turned into something positive and rewarding.

I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Erum as my lactation counselor. during those early weeks with my newborn. As a first-time mom, I was struggling with breastfeeding, especially with baby latch issues and concerns about my baby's weight gain. Erum was a calming presence and provided me with much-needed reassurance every step of the way.
